What is CTI?
Computer-telephone integration (CTI) enables you to control your incoming calls, outgoing calls, and messages using your PC. You still use your standard desktop telephone for conversation, but with CTI software your PC becomes the interface for accessing both basic and advanced features of your phone system.

There are many benefits from using CTI applications in conjunction with your phone system. Among them:
- A better interface for placing and answering calls. Many popular software packages have been enhanced to allow you to automatically dial phone numbers or manage incoming calls from your PC. The PC also provides an intuitive interface for more sophisticated phone system functions such as conference calls.
- Call screening and routing. By seeing the phone number and even the name of the caller before you take a call, you can better manage your time and priorities.
- Call logging and conversation recording.
- Ability to use less expensive station equipment. Rather than expensive, proprietary digital phones you can use software.
